Yes. Our vegan chopped cheese sandwich contains no meat or meat by-products. We also use vegan, (non-dairy/non-egg)  cheese, and mayonnaise on our vegan sandwiches. 

Our halal ground beef is purchased from the American Foods Group whose products are halal-certified by The Islamic Society of the Washington Area (ISWA). 

Our halal ground chicken is purchased from various local halal meat markets, with our halal market of choice being Al-Aqsa Halal Meat Supermarket located at 2101 Starling Ave. Bronx, NY 10462.

Halal is an Arabic word that means "permissible" and its opposite is Haram, "forbidden." Halal includes sets of prescribed rules based on Islamic ethics which Muslims must follow. Most notable among them are dietary guidelines pertaining to food consumption and the way in which an animal is slaughtered, like the term Kosher in Judaism. Halal can also pertain to business practices which include business transparency and ethical investments.

Absolutely. Anyone can eat halal food.

Yes. Halal animals are humanely raised and free from antibiotics, stress hormones, growth hormones, and preservatives. Meats produced by non-halal methods are likelier to contain E.coli and other bacteria.

We cook primarily  with avocado oil and olive oil.

Based on Islamic values we donate 2.5% of our net profits to fund programs that support local cancer fighters.  

Yes. We do accept donations. However, we are not a 501(c)3 so these contributions are not tax-deductible.
